Two cards with Prima Lifetime Collection
These two cards are definitely out of my comfort zone. But I really felt like trying something different. The impetus came from my friend MARY who gave me those adorable, tiny lock and key brads. Now, I have been hoarding them for quite a while - something I often do with things I really like.
When I got the Lifetime Collection from Prima, it was time to use it! Stretching my own style and trying out different things, I came up with these two cards.
I love you to the moon and back. Some stitching, some 3D elements, but all kind of grungy.
And my second one where I used the lock brad as the flower center. The key together with the tiny staples makes a good combination - not too girly but still cute.
Thanks for stopping by!
All the best,
Elisabeth

Message from the Easter Bunny
Goodness! The Easter bunny had a hard time this year! With snow everywhere, he could not hide the nests outside. So he left a message on the breakfast table with clues where he hid the little surprises.
The Prairie Chic worked perfectly with the clothes and the spring flowers. I cut up the cute scallops and layered them with 3d dots. Some Prima tags and flowers a bit of layering and done.
Thanks for stopping by!
All the best,

Family
"This was the bestest day of my life" - the comment from our sweet DD after her cousins (5 and 2,5) left after an entire afternoon of playing together.
When I saw the challenge over at Once Upon A Sketch - it was a perfect match

When I first got these Prima papers, I was not quite sure what to do with it. They did not appeal to me the way they were. But when I was looking for something rather neutral, but yet with character to scrap these photos, which don't have a unified color scheme, I was convinced!
Journaling reads: C and C also need to go out sometimes, so the boys spent the afternoon with us. Such a day is a lot of fun but exhausting!
I even stamped! (Doesn't happen often....), distressed, layered, added 3 different small flower clusters and added some metal elements.

Show Off
Every time a unit of inquiry is
finished, DD's class invites the parents for an "end of unit
celebration". I LOVE those! It is so great to see what the kids were
working on and it gives the children a perfect forum to really show what
they have learned. This time it was telling stories and DD's story is
all about a rock star (no surprise!!!) The photos are a bit out of focus
since I only had my cellphone camera and I was in the back of the class,
but it is the memory that counts

Happy Easter!
What a wonderful day - despite the weather. It was snowing sideways this morning! Sigh.
The kids did not mind. DS found his nest in no time - I need to hide it better next year. Who could guess that a 15 months old is so quick!
DD read the message of the Easter Bunny to make sure she gets all the clues
Church was a bit difficult - usually DS takes his morning nap but due to the time change, he was WIDE awake and very.....entertaining. I am so thankful that we have the most patient and forgiving congregation in town.
I am going to leave you with an Easter "egg" I made - the idea is from my sister. I used a combination of Bo Bunny C'est la vie and Prairie Chic plus some prima flowers (meadow lark and some older that I can't remember anymore....)
Have a great Easter, everybody!

Good Times
It is end of March
and we had snow, AGAIN. I am so done with winter and so are my kids.
Despite the terrible weather, we are outside everyday- otherwise they
would go crazy in our apartment. So, I wrap them up and we go. Can't
tell you how much I am longing for spring. We will hide our Easter eggs
in the mud/snow tomorrow
Yesterday, we went to our local playground around the corner and the kids had fun, which is the most important, I guess! Unless it is minus 10, DS will refuse to wear gloves...
Last night, I really felt like playing with Bo Bunny "Family is". This line is so cute but it does not lend itself for my usual romantic/vintage/distressed style. So I just gave it a try and went clean and simple. I was surprised how it turned out. Added bonus: layout and card were done in one hour. The layout is based on Sketchabilites Nr 87.
Can't finish this post without a photo of my DD. She is such a bundle of energy!
