Show Off

Every time a unit of inquiry is finished, DD's class invites the parents for an "end of unit celebration". I LOVE those! It is so great to see what the kids were working on and it gives the children a perfect forum to really show what they have learned. This time it was telling stories and DD's story is all about a rock star (no surprise!!!) The photos are a bit out of focus since I only had my cellphone camera and I was in the back of the class, but it is the memory that counts

Happy Easter!

What a wonderful day - despite the weather. It was snowing sideways this morning! Sigh.

The kids did not mind. DS found his nest in no time - I need to hide it better next year. Who could guess that a 15 months old is so quick!

DD read the message of the Easter Bunny to make sure she gets all the clues

Church was a bit difficult - usually DS takes his morning nap but due to the time change, he was WIDE awake and very.....entertaining. I am so thankful that we have the most patient and forgiving congregation in town.

I am going to leave you with an Easter "egg" I made  - the idea is from my sister. I used a combination of Bo Bunny C'est la vie and Prairie Chic plus some prima flowers (meadow lark and some older that I can't remember anymore....)

Have a great Easter, everybody!

Good Times

It is end of March and we had snow, AGAIN. I am so done with winter and so are my kids. Despite the terrible weather, we are outside everyday- otherwise they would go crazy in our apartment. So, I wrap them up and we go. Can't tell you how much I am longing for spring. We will hide our Easter eggs in the mud/snow tomorrow

Yesterday, we went to our local playground around the corner and the kids had fun, which is the most important, I guess! Unless it is minus 10, DS will refuse to wear gloves...

Last night, I really felt like playing with Bo Bunny "Family is". This line is so cute but it does not lend itself for my usual romantic/vintage/distressed style. So I just gave it a try and went clean and simple. I was surprised how it turned out. Added bonus: layout and card were done in one hour. The layout is based on Sketchabilites Nr 87.

Can't finish this post without a photo of my DD. She is such a bundle of energy!

Have a great Easter!

Vacation!!!!

Ahhhh, it feels good to be on Easter break. 10 days of enjoying our kids and, well catching up on housework. BUT I will also get to see my relatives and I do hope that I will get some time to scrap!!! So many pictures are waiting for me.

Last night, I was too tired to make a layout, so I just did a 2 quick cards and a mini box.

Quick and simple and yet elegant. I looooove French Country.

This card sort of just happened. The snippets were laying around on my desk and I put them together. Not quite sure how I feel with black as a background....

And lastly, a mini box with a chocolate treat inside.

I realize that these are no masterpieces but it felt GOOD to start my vacation with a bit of playing around with paper.

Have a blessed Easter!

So many smiles begin with you

I just love this sentiment. It is so true. Our children are the best thing that ever happened to us. Yes, they exhaust us, yes, they show us our limits every day but they make us smile all the time.

Here are some details

Today is my second day of professional development at school. I love those days! They inspire, make me reflect and give me a whole lot of ideas for improving my teaching.

Beloved

I am being a good scrapper - taking turns in scrapping photos of our kids. This time, it was DS's turn. The title is straight IRL - not sure what happened.

Do I need to say more? I am the luckiest mom on earth to have such cute children. If even they test their boundaries again and again and again.....

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week

If you love what you have...

What a wonderful sentiment. It is from Prairie Chic from Bo Bunny. I combined with the older Annalee collection from Prima.

And a clean and simple mini album for 6 photos. I used tiny magnets underneath the Rosetta to keep it shut even when the photos are in.

 All opened up

Dream

Beginning of March, we took a stroll in the wonderful gardens of Castle Laxenburg. I just loooove this place. It is just from a fairy tale.

I used a mix of Graphics 45 Secret Garden, Prima Annalee and Bo Bunny C'est la vie. My 3 favorite companies all on one page!

I could not resist to add the bird bath to the page - it just had to be there.

In two weeks, we will be on Easter break. I am so looking forward to it! It is funny and a bit surreal to talk  to my colleagues at work (without kids) who will fly to Bahamas, Egypt, Turkey and what not while I..... will probably go to IKEA to get some more boxes to organize the kids room -  how things change......

More "secret garden " cards

And more spring cards! I really need the color and the pretty papers! The first one was based on the sketch by Get Creative. I reduced the 4 blocks in the middle to 2.

And this one is inspired by Mojo Monday.

Yeah for Friday! I love my work and I am very thankful to have a very interesting job, but I am so looking forward to the weekend where I will hopefully be able to catch up on sleep! DS is getting 3 molars at the same time which causes very, very short nights!

I will leave you with photos of our sweet children. I am so lucky to have them!

Birthday Cards

It is so much fun to work with the brand new collections of Bo Bunny and Graphics 45. Just loooove these brands. Throw in some Prima and I am a pretty happy girl.

Since the weather is so bad (predicted snow for Easter, again....) I needed some spring on my scrapping table. This one is based on Unscripted Sketches.

And some more Bo Bunny C'est la vie

Thankful

About a year before this photo was taken (October 2011), I was in hospital, fearing for the life of our little unborn baby.

A year later, this fabulous photo was taken (I only got it a week ago). I am just so thankful to have two healthy, smart and sweet children. I am truly blessed.

I used the French Country Collection from Graphics 45 - this line is just divine!!!
Have a great week

Spring Cards

Yesterday, I was so lucky to attend a 4 hour crop, organized by my favorite LSS SCRAP ME. It just feels good to be in company of other scrappers and not think of anything else but paper, glue and embellishments.

I made a mini album, which is not finished yet and 3 cards.

The Secret Garden collection from Graphics 45 just seems to scream SPRING!!! (Which is what I am longing for!!!!)

Using French Country, I made these two tiny Pizza boxes. (about 4cm big)

with a sweet surprise inside

3 times....

On Mojo Monday, there is this fabulous sketch

Sweet, interesting, perfect.
I tried 3 times and every single time, the card turned out differently - did that ever happen to you?

I used the line C'est la vie from Bo Bunny. Such a wonderful, playful  line.

Congratulations cards

I was playing with Bo Bunny's "Family is" line and came up with these 3 cards. Again, a bit more neutral and masculine.

This one is based on the sketch by Let's capture Our Memories.

The other two cards are a bit simpler, using the same color scheme.

We had some really beautiful spring days - but tomorrow, snow storms are back. Sigh. Back to wrestling the kids into their snowsuits!

Keep calm, carry on

This time, I played along with the SKETCHLADIES. Something different for me - rather bold and straight. I had fun doing it and it was a good way to capture the adventures of our little girl.

She is just like me - loves to climb up everywhere! While DH (who is terribly afraid of heights) felt very uneasy just watching her!

Sock Games... Bo Bunny

Yeah - I am so excited. I managed to make 2 (!!!) layouts on the weekend AND I finally got to play with 2 new Bo Bunny collections.

Our children are just so funny! They invent games all the time. Whenever I do laundry (which seems to be all the time), one grabs a pair of socks or similar, sticks it in the mouth and runs around the apartment like crazy. Soon the second one will imitate and after a while they will try to take it away from each other, giggling all the way. I happened to have my camera close by and I took this quick shot. The light is a bit funny but it just shows the fun they had.

The C'est la vie collection from Bo Bunny was a PERFECT match for this photo. The fun elements, the colors, the whole relaxed feel about it. This is not my usual style - but I had fun experimenting!

I based it on the sketch by the most talented Becky Fleck!

Masculine Cards

A few people noticed that most of my cards are just too girly. Ok, I can do masculine as well!!!

and the same idea with a slight change of design.

New Bo Bunny lines at last!!!

Yesterday at lunchtime, my LSS got the new Bo Bunny Lines. I was over at 4pm, ripping them off her hand, still in the boxes...... I was so waiting for it!!

I used the monthly card sketch from Bo Bunny.

Spring has finally arrived in Vienna! No more snowsuits for my little one anymore!!! YEAH - getting him dressed every morning was like wrestling with an octopus.

Have a wonderful day!

Elisabeth

Lots of birthday cards!

A few friends have asked me to provide them with some birthday cards. So I sat down the last couple of evenings and made 6.

Here is Nr 1. The Challenge from GET CREATIVE - use an envelope on the card. The yellow stone is a real amber that my Dad got on his last vacation. He has realized how important that hobby is to me. What a sweet thought. And as so often, BO BUNNY - TIMEPIECE collection

Nr 2. Frosted Designs. Use Chevron.

Here I used the Summer Collection from Authentique

Nr 3 Sketch by Artful Delight

Again, the summer collection from Authentique. The stamp is from Technique Tuesday.

And the last three used Prima Annalee collection. It is not the newest, but I still like it a lot! Really gets my spring feelings going.
