Last weekend, we took a wonderful walk in the park of Laxenburg castle, a 20' drive from our home. It was simply great, inspiring and relaxing.
Frosted Designs had a perfect sketch for these photos.
Here a a few close-ups.
With exception of the Dusty Attic scroll, I only used materials I had for a long time.
Here is my favorite photo- father and son. Don't they look cute in their matching outfits?

Get Creative
Cleaning up the scrap place has lots of advantages. Amongst others, I found these papers, which I had forgotten about. It is not my usual style, but now and then I enjoy some bright and fun scrapping, especially if the photos are so cute.
I based it on a sketch by Get Creative .
The journaling reads: Sarah is a great sister. She makes Michi laugh and he adores her. He does not mind if she is sometimes a bit too rough with him.
I love this flower bouquet - I had it forever and never had a layout that was perfect for it. Now it is finally used.
I also used my sewing machine to create this frill border.

Villa de Leyva Once Upon a Stetch
The challenge over at Once Upon a Sketch is right up my alley. Scrap your dream holiday. We surely had a dream holiday in the summer. Attending my sister's wedding in Columbia turned into a fantastic holiday!
Journaling reads: Who would have thought that Lena's wedding was the reason for such a great holiday. The exciting days in Bogota, the beach vacation in Santa Marta and the time on Eduardo's finca where this photo was taken.
I loved the theme of the clock so I used it several times. The Bo Bunny timepiece series was perfect for it. Some Petaloo and Prima flowers and the packaging of it rounded it off. I had an old clockface and an old clock chain to finish it. Lots of distressing and inking and done. On the photo, I blurred the edges and added an antique layer.

Peaceful - Frosted Designs
Life is good at the moment. My kids are being really sweet, DH is on vacation and I feel really good. My scrap place is almost organized, just waiting for a few binders so I can finish the job.
Frosted Designs had another great sketch. Loved the many layers! I had fun with the border - first I punched it, then stitched it, then stamped a second border and finally embellished it with a few sparkly stones.

Life is a journey
Still cleaning up my scrapplace. It is amazing how long it takes considering I only have a tiny space. I was too lazy to clean up these scraps so I made a quick card. I actually like it - sweet and simple.
Since DD is on February break, we do something fun every day. So we went to an indoor park (it is still freezing cold).
Can you see worried DH way down there? She had so much fun! Her little brother was not impressed and slept.

Bo Bunny Card Challenge Tuesday
I am still in the middle of reorganizing my scrap place. It is amazing how many things I have accumulated in the past few years. So I am purging, organizing and enjoying that I find many many pretty things I had already forgotten about!
A quick card was a nice change while cleaning up. Bo Bunny has a Card Challenge so I thought I would use the sketch that Gabrielle has done.
I used a mix of Welcome Home and Snowfall, including the packaging paper. I did not add a sentiment yet since I do not know what I will need it for.

beads and organizing
My sweet DD has inherited the crafting gene. At the moment the iron on beads are her favorite! She can sit for 30 minutes and longer and create the most beautiful shapes.
I based the LO on a sketch by Artful Delight.
After having searched for a certain paper for over 20 minutes, I decided it was time to organize my scrap place again. Sigh. Since my time is rather limited, this cuts into my scrapping time. But in the long run, it will pay off. Once it is done, I will take some pictures and share it. I find it very therapeutic to clean it out. I have purged a lot and I have found many treasures that I had forgotten about.

Sweet Dreams Quick Quotes
I found another sketch challenge site - Quick Quotes. I love sketches. They simply get my creative juices flowing, especially if it such a nice one like this one from Liz Qualman.
This is my take on it. Our little boy is sleeping in the family bassinet. It was built in the 1930s and our son is the 21st child to sleep in it. We treasure it a lot!
It is terribly cold in Vienna. So cold that we did not leave the apartment on the weekend! DH and DD still need to get to work/school and I try to stay as warm as possible.

Perfect
With the arrival of our son, our family is complete. We are so lucky to have a girl and a boy - simply perfect!
I had the Graphic 45 paper for a very long time! I loved it but did not know how to use it. Finally, I found a photo that would go with it. As you can see, I am using my new sewing machine, but I have to admit, I will have to practice a lot more. Not one side is straight!!! I really like the little key (it is from Kaisercraft). I added the date of the photo to it. I think it looks kind of cute.
In my previous post, I based my LO on a sketch by "Get creative". It is such a great sketch that I used it again!
I also want to share a funny photo. DS was smiling and cooing for half an hour. When I got my camera out, this is what I got! As if he was saying: "You want me to do what???"

Ballet picture - Get creative
My sweet DD is in her second year of ballet and she is getting better and better. The dancing school gave us this photo with the Christmas card. I used the sketch from Get Creative.
At the moment it is freezing here in Vienna! Minus 17°C. It is no fun to go outside. Luckily, DH and friends are helping out so I do not have to take my sweet little baby in the freezing cold.
