Sketchy Thursday 5.19

I have not blogged for a long time, simply because I felt very sick for the past 10 days. No energy for scrapping, just trying to get through the work day and falling asleep by 8:30. I do hope this will get better soon!

Here is my take on the cute sketch from Sketchy Thursday! I just love this sketch. So pretty. This photo was taken in DD's school at photo day, back in October. I cannot believe how grown-up she looks. She was only 4! Sigh.

Rhythm Xing °°°SWIRLYDOOS°°°

DD took part in a drumming workshop done by the percussion group rhythm xing. It was held in the park of a 200 year old villa, next to a lake. It was simply magic.

I loved the Glitz Design papers, which were part of the May kit. Just adorable. I did quite some deep distressing , based the work on the sketch by Beggahuna and had a bit of hiding journaling

Here are some close ups:

Some Prima flowers
My new die cut from tim holtz with the iron gate fence and the Dusty attic bird cage.

And more flowers from the flower add on from the Swirlydoos kit.

Workshop with Jen Starr

My DH gave me the best mother's day gift a girl can wish for. I was off for 5 hours and attended a really cool workshop with Jen Starr. I learnt so much during this time. Everything about inking, stamping, tips and tricks how to create your own pattern on paper etc. It was truly GREAT.

During the workshop, she only used 8x8 (to get 6 LOs done in 5 hours) but since I only like 12x12, I added the papers around it and added a few embellishments.

The pictures show, of course, DD and the baby of a friend of mine. Sarah always wants to hold the little babies, she is so caring.

Dream Sketch Along Tuesday Sketch 14 Challenge

I got to play with my May kit from SWIRLYDOOS. Krissy put together another dream kit - Grandma's garden. Full of great colors, lots and lots of embellishments and sweet flowers.

After our walk at Easter, DD had to run ahead and "fall asleep" on the rock since it took us so long to get there.....

Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment. Tomorrow is mother's day in Austria and I get the best gift in the whole world: I have signed up for a scrap course with Jen Starr.

All the best,
Elisabeth

Beauty - Sketchy Thursday 5.5.

During the Easter Break, we went to Upper Austria. When the weather is nice, it is great place to be. It is a very rural area, perfect for the long walks, watching the animals etc. During one of these walks, I took a photo of DD playing with the dandelion. I just loved how the wind blew through her hair and her concentrated look.

My sweet scrapper friend Sharon sent me these wonderful papers. Thanks, Sharon!!!! Based on the Sketchy Thursday Sketch 5.5.

Summer Wedding °°°SNIPS AND SNAILS°°°

This newest digital kit from Snips and Snails has the most perfect colors, frames and elements one can think of!
Here is the kit:
And since blue is my favorite color of all times, I focused on the cute blue papers.

I love the flowers, which came with the elements. I just layered several sizes of them on top of each other.

The blue circle with the pearls was perfect for hybrid scrapping. I cut it out, distressed the edges and added zva creative pearls, distressed it and it was done. The letters were so cute. I just love polka dots.

I added a few ribbons from my stash, fuzzy cut the sweet swirls, added some ribbons and the handwritten text, since my printer had given up by that time and I was done.

You can go here, if you would like to get the kit. It is truly worth it! It is even on sale at the moment!

All the best,
Elisabeth
