Just a note...

The other day, I got really in the mood to try out some pop up cards. I think these are soooo cool. Here is my first take on it: "Just a note"

Still need to "fine tune " some of the measurements but otherwise I am actually quite happy with it.

I will leave the sentiment to the last minute - depending what I need. Thanks or Happy Birthday probably.

Faster, faster boing

This is sadly my last post for the DT of Sketchabilities. I loved being part of it but with my work schedule, I just cannot commit to any DT posts at the moment, that's why I did not apply for a second round. I hope that in a month or two, things will be a little more predictable.

And here is my take on it! DD loves to go iceskating.

And since I liked this sketch so much, I also used it to design my teacher's planner.

First!

I am back at work and the normal routine has kicked back in. On the weekend, I made this layout of DD first on the slopes. We could walk to the ski slope and ski down before the ski lift was even open - what an amazing feeling. The entire slope to us, all quiet, perfect snow....

Bo Bunny Powder Mountain was PERFECT for these photos.

I hid the journaling behind the photo...

and played with dimensions.

The layout is based on the sketch by Get Creative

I am longing for spring, though!

Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for a very special relative of mine. He is the Godfather of our son. He is a classy person, therefore the card had to match his personality.

The card closes with a tiny magnet, hidden underneath the wooden clock.

And the inside. I heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.

I used my last papers of Bo Bunny Timepiece. Such a great, sophisticated line.

My website now has an English version as well!

My vacation is over - back to school tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing my students again. They are so sweet and interested.

In the meadow we can build a snowman

Ahh, it feels good to be back. We had lots of fun during our winter break, but being home is fine, too. Last night, I was scrapping again - during the holiday, I made some cards, since I could only take a few supplies. I really enjoyed creating a layout again.

I played around with layering and when you open the photo, it reveals another photo and the journaling.

I used the Sketch from Let's Capture Our Memories Nr 8

And since I had a bit more time left, I made this sweet quick card.

You are timeless...

This birthday card is perfect for somebody who does not really insist on having her number on the birthday card!!!
Still working with Bo Bunny Serenade while WAITING for the new lines. Sigh.

This card is inspired by Let's Capture Our Memories.

Today, we took DD climbing. Her second name is now Spider Girl. She was up in no time, hitting the buzzer!

Graphics 45 cards

I had quite a few paper snippets and small items left from making my calendar. You can see my post about the calendar  HERE

I made these sweet cards - one for birthday and one for graduation.

I still have lots and lots of leftovers - more cards will come for sure!

BFF Card

Bo Bunny has posted a sketch on their blog. It was perfect for my Best Friend Forvever (BFF) card.

In other news, we are making good use of the snow. Check out who is standing in our garden right now.

Isn't she pretty?

Double Step Card

Last night, I managed to make these two cards. I thought these will be great gifts for high school graduation.

I am so glad, I got the Serenade papers from Bo Bunny. They are so pretty, so versatile and I love the colors. (Not even talking about the great paper quality.)

This card was inspired by Mojo Monday. Such a great sketch!

This was the view this morning when I woke up. I love being in Upper Austria. My mother is with us, which is wonderful for the kids (and us as well!!)

Sunday Morning and an announcement

There is a positive side of my kids getting up at 4:30 or 5am every morning. There is a lot of time in the day to be silly with them! If I lay down on the floor, you can bet they are piling up on me in minutes. So much for my back exercises!

I based it on the February challenge from My Creative Sketches

I finally used some of my Prima Meadow Lark papers, which I have been hoarding for quite some time.

Very proud announcement! My website is up! For now just in German, but the English version should follow very soon.

Birthday Cards!

Did I mention that I really enjoy my vacation? Time to scrap and goof around with the kids.

I had papers left over from scrapping the birthday pictures of DS. I am really excited how these turned out.

A tiny magnet holds the card shut which then pops open and stays like this!

The other two are simpler, but still very sweet (go cupcakes!)

Nonna and two cards

My mother lives across the ocean - however she tries to make the best out of the situation. Every morning, while we have breakfast, we skype and whenever she is in Austria, she is the best grandmother a person can wish for.

Once Upon a Sketch posted the challenge for the sketch and the theme "Do All Things With Love". And yes, my mother does it with LOTS of love!!!

Journaling is to be found on the pull out tag to the right of the picture.

To finish off, I made two quick cards.

More Thank You Cards

I am on a roll! Two more sweet Thank You cards.

The first is based on Unscriped Sketches

The second card is based on Mojo Monday!

Thank you so much for providing such pretty sketches and such wonderful inspiration!

All the best,
Elisabeth

Because

DD and DS love each other so much. At the moment, DS is a great kisser. The big, wet, sloppy kind of kisses. DD enjoys the attention and makes a big deal out of it!

I really like  the cluster.

I based it on the sketch from Let's Capture Our Memories.

Thank You Cards

Lately, I had so many reasons to say THANK YOU to all kinds of different people. A wonderful colleague at work who covered my lunchtime class so I can go and watch the singing assembly of my DD, a mother who brought DD home after a party so I did not have to drive with DS across Vienna  in the middle of worst evening traffic and I could go on and on.

A good reason to stack up on cards!

The first one was inspired by Daring Cardmakers with a butterfly challenge.

The next two are based on the sketch by Artful Delight.

All the best,
Elisabeth
