Flowerpot card

I took a mini workshop at the local crafts exhibition and made this super cute flower pot card. I have to remember the design - I think it is so cute! The sentiment says: Just for you.
Today, I had to take the kids to the doctor for their shots. DD got the tick shot and DS his first big one. He had to cry very hard! Rips my heart out but I know it is for the best in the long run.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Thumb Baby Get Creative Swirlydoos

Ohh, those teeth! They are a pain when they come and a pain when they go. DS started teething and now everything finds its way in his mouth. He has discovered his thumb and it is so cute to watch him. But I guess as a mom I find everything cute...

Get creative has this wonderful sketch up.

I used my Swirlydoos March kit to create this LO. Just love it!

Monki Park Frosted Designs

Frosted Designs has another wonderful sketch on their blog.

And this is what I made our of it.

During the February break, DH and I took her to an indoor playing ground. She loved the high ropes and went 4 times! See the worried look of DH at the bottom of the photo?

I cut out the cute birdhouses of the paper and popped them up using 3d foam pads. The title is made with a really old alpha "perhaps" from basic grey.

Allegretto Swirlydoos Creative Scrappers 200

Spring has finally arrived here in Vienna. It is so nice to put away the snow suits! No more wrapping up the kids before going out of the apartment.

Creative scrappers has issued it's 200th sketch! And what a great one it is!It was perfect to scrap the photos of DDs concert visit at the Musikverein. Allegretto is the name of the concert series for children which she absolutely adores. The quality of te performances is outstanding while being fun and educational. This time my DS attended as well and listened very attentively. I had him in the baby carrier and he was waggling his arms and legs in joy.

I used the March kit from Swirlydoos for this layout. Only the journaling tag is from a previous kit. It is so nice to find all these treasures now that my scrap place is organized.

This is how DS loves to be out and about: He sees everything and is still close to me.

And here is a picture of DD on her inline skates (thanks to cousin Judith!)

Picknick Swirlydoos and Artful Delight Sketch

I just made it in time to complete the monthly sketch for ARTFUL DELIGHT. This fabulous kit club has a monthly sketch challenge, which is open for all! The price is a full month's kit. This month's sketch is this one: And this is what I did:

This photo was taken last Saturday during our family picknick. We were 10 people (old and young) and had the best time ever. Great food, a wonderful meadow in the woods, frisbee, badminton, games and fun.

In this layout I only used items from the Swirlydoos March kit. It is absolutely amazing.

Happy SWIRLYDOOS

My March kit arrived just in time to scrap these cute pictures my DH took of our little son. He is now 2,5 months old and cute as can be. Laughs, tries to "talk", adores his big sister and is a very easy baby.

This month sketch was great. So inspiring and different. Love it! The journal card is from a previous kit. I inked it to match it. The trinket also has a rub on from a previous kit in it. I just put it on the packaging paper and fitted it in.

However, he is not always happy and has the best pout in the world. Ever since he was born, he puts is lip forward when he disagrees with the situation!!!

Leaving my comfort zone

This layout was a real challenge! DD went to the children's museum to learn all about constructions. She got to build walls, drive a crane, cover a roof etc. None of my usual romantic style fit. I finally got this paper and (following my DD's instructions: You need to use more glitter, Mommy!!!!) I tried my best to capture the fun of this afternoon. The title is the entrance ticket.

This is definitely not my best layout, but DD likes it. A lot. And that is what scrapbooking is for me. Preserving the fun memories I create with my lovely family.

Invitation

We have finally found a date where most of my family members are around and can attend the christening of our little son. So I got to work and made the prototype of the invitations. I kept it fairly simple and in the same style and color as the birth announcements. The photo was taken by my very talented 16 year old nephew (proud Aunt here!)

Austrian Parliament

Living in Vienna is great if you have kids. All museums are free for kids and there are always really great guided tours especially for kids. Since DD loves them, we go there quite frequently and I enjoy the tours as well. This time we went to the Austrian parliament and she got to try out how it feels to work there. Like a real politician, she did not pay attention but read her book.....

This layout is based on sketchabilities Nr 66 and I used the February kit from Swirlydoos for the layout. I will leave you with a cute photo of DS who thinks that his big sister is hilarious!

Beloved

Creative scrappers Nr 198 was the basis for this layout. Together with the stunning February kit from Swirlydoos and an extended nap of my little DS, I was able to create this layout. I usually absolutely dislike orange but somehow this one worked out quite well.

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

Here is a close-up of the cluster.

DH is a wonderful father and loves to play with him. DS appreciates it a lot and gives him the most wonderful smiles.

DD is still a wonderful big sister and LOVES to hold and cuddle him.

Bliss

I love the February kit from Swirlydoos. So many pretty things!

I used a sketch from Quick Quotes to create this layout. The journaling reads: My two sweeties could not be more different and yet they are a perfect match, February 2012

Here are two close ups. I really like how the cluster turned out.

Cheeese!

Yesterday was a great day. Thanks to DH and my beloved milkpump, I was able to attend a 3 hour scrapbooking workshop, which happened to take place in our street. I loved playing around with the glimmer mists. Something I am not really good yet. I learned how to use different colors, mute colors, add glimmer glam (sooo cool), add patterns to the simple white flowers. I also got introduced to gesso, love this stuff.

The photo shows DH and myself at my sister's wedding. Finally a decent photo of us!

Here are some close ups of the flowers. I am pretty happy with it and looking forward to using this technique more often.

DD and DS are doing great as well. DD attended a guided tour of the parliament and got to try out how it feels to be a congresswoman.

Friday Afternoon Swirlydoos

After waiting FOREVER (at least it felt that way) my February kit from Swirlydoos arrived. The Austrian postal system is really torturing me! So the second I got some free time, I dug into it. Friday Afternoon is the title, since DH loves to cuddle with DS and DD on the couch on Friday afternoon. It is sort of based on the monthly sketch of Beggahuna, but I changed a bit.

My big DD is growing up so fast. Since she goes to an English speaking school, I have to homeschool her a bit to make sure her German does not fall behind. Every day, after having done the English homework, she works on reading and writing in German.

And my sweet little one, he is just adorable. During the day, he has not yet found a rhythm but he is super good during the night, waking me up just twice or three times, drinks and falls right back asleep.
That's it from me for today.

Card and ready for the weekend

It is Friday! Not that it matters for me - I am on "vacation". Being a SAHM is very relaxing at the moment. I am very lucky since both of my kids are very sweet and good!

I am still in the process of reorganizing my scrap place - 15 minutes at a time. Amongst others, I have rediscovered these cute little blue flowers. Which inspired me to create this card.

My little man turned two months! My heart melts every time I look at him.

And my big girl, all dressed up and ready to go the concert. We watched The Wizard of Oz. She loved it so much and now she does not want to become a vet anymore but a musical star.

Thanks for stopping by!
All the best,
Elisabeth
