Life is good!

I finally got some time to finish my Easter layout.

I love the Garden Girl from Bo Bunny! The colors were perfect to go with the snow jacket (YES, we looked for eggs while the snow was falling).

Here are some close ups:

Life is good when you are greeted by such a smile every day! I cannot believe, he is already 3,5 months old. Today, he learned to turn over. No more tummy time for him! He hates it!

Just married - altered canvas

I truly enjoyed my little time out! We were 6 girls, all scrapping away. My scrapper friend Conny is a fabulous and patient teacher and I loved trying out new things. I am so happy with the result - although if I were to do it again, I would place the flowers a bit more away from the picture - it looks a bit crowded.

Cute

Creative scrappers had the perfect sketch for this photo. DS just loves his bunny rabbit. He likes to eat his ears, wrestle with it and when he takes his nap, the bunny rabbit keeps the pacifier in place. (of course only when we supervise him very closely - we do not want to risk SIDS)

I used a wild mix of all different brands for this layout. Since I cleaned up and organized my scrapplace, I can find everything and use my stuff! (I am very proud that I finally got it done. I have been procrastinating for months!)

Now I am off to a 2 hour crop with friends. I really need a bit of time out.

Home SWIRLYDOOS

My two kids are just wonderful, sweet and full of energy - especially when it comes to bed time! As you can see in the photo, I am already exhausted while they still have lots of energy. The challenge at Once Upon A Sketch was HOME: For me, home is our couch! We bought it when we first moved in together (a million years ago...) This is where we lay when we are sick, we read to the kids, our guests sleep here, we fight and we love there.

This is the sketch for the challenge
Here are some close-ups:

The butterflies are from LISA. Every month, she creates a PDF file with butterflies to go with the current Swirlydoos Kit.

I used white thickers and just colored them using my copic markers to match the color.

Stiff Baby

My sweet DS gets stiff as a board when DH picks him up. He loves to look around and enjoy the different perspective - just in a stiff way! I have got the same picture of DD when she was this age -so funny. The challenge at Quick Quotes was to use grid! So I did!

I just love the vintage double dot paper from Bo Bunny. It is so pretty, yet decent enough not to overpower the patterned papers. I also go nuts for the Prima bouquet. If it was not so expensive!

Happy Easter and all the best,

1st icecream of the season Artful Delight

This week DD and DH are on spring break. Usually, we would travel to Upper Austria for Easter, however, since DS is still so small we decided to stay in Vienna. To keep DD busy, we do something fun every day. On Monday, we officially welcomed Spring by going for an ice cream and an extended playground session on a new playground.

I used the monthly sketch from Artful Delight to document this delicious moment!

Today, we went to the museum Albertina, where DD learned everything about the impressionist movement (Monet, Manet, Degas, etc) After having looked at the paintings, they created Easter decorations, using these techniques. I just love her concentrated look in this picture!

14 years.... and Swirlyhues challenge

ago DH and I got married.
I saw this image on facebook a few days ago:
Isn't it true? We had our share of "fixing" and I am sure we will continue to do so in the future!

You might ask yourself why in the world we got married on April 1st! It is actually a quite funny story. DH is US citizen and I am Austrian. At that time we also lived in Austria. We inquired at the local Standesamt what we have to do to prolong DH's visa and what would change after we got married. The reply of this lovely person was as such: "Are you crazy? Why would you apply for his visa first and then get married? You would save yourself a lot of money if you do it the other way round" Since it was already end of February, the only available date to do so before his visa runs out was..... April 1st! That was 14 years ago and now we are (again) in Austria with 2 lovely kids.

On to some scrappy stuff:
I managed to complete the Swirlyhues Challenge this month

I used the current Swirlydoos kit to complete the LO of my DS on his first day home..

Elisabeth
