card with 4 little boxes

I am always impressed how generous, sweet and kind scrappers are. I saw a boxed card on scrapbook.com and asked Ozmagi how she did it. Not only did she send me the pattern all the way from Australia - she also sent me a card filled with the most beautiful handmade flowers. How sweet is that!

So, I took her pattern and made this masculine travel card for my nephew. His confirmation is next week and we are all contributing to his weekend trip to Venice.

I will leave you with a short video of DH playing with DS. He just kept cracking up and had the best time!

Getting to know my sewing machine

A few months ago, I got a wonderful Singer sewing machine for a really good price. Slowly but surely, I am getting the hang of using it on my layouts. My lines are not straight (yet) but I guess this will come with practice.

My sweet family, snuggling on the couch. I loved the soft colors of the photo, which I repeated in the layout. All papers and embellishments are from the Swirlydoos April kit. The buttons and the chain are from a previous kit. The frame around the journaling is from Conny at scrap me. You can find her shop HERE. The frame was just 90 cents, a real deal. I based this layout on the latest challenge of FROSTED DESIGNS.

The card is also made from items from the same kit. I based it on the sketch of CardPatterns.

Swirlydoos Anatomy of a layout part 2

I loved Karola's anatomy so much that I decided to make a matching page with the picture of my sweet DS.

When I first saw the Prima Almanac series online, I was not convinced, But when I got it in the kit, I was really surprised how sweet and versatile it is.

Balance and a give-away

Last weekend, we took a wonderful trip to Burgenland. There were many fun activities for kids as well as for adults. DD loved being out in the woods! Here she is balancing on a slack line with the help of this good looking forest ranger.

I LOVE the Prima line Meadow Lark. It is so pretty, romantic and beautiful! I used the Sketch Nr 204 from Creative Scrappers.

Here are some close ups:

Isn't that bird cute?

The tags are so versatile. One serves as hidden journaling.

And of course the flowers.....ahhhhhh.

And to the give away! My friend Conny just started her own online shop. It is simply great and her service is outstanding!!!! Check it out and you can win vouchers for her shop. Scrap Me

Leftover Card

So I was cleaning up my scrap place and had bits and pieces left over. I was simply too lazy to sort the small pieces of paper in their appropriate places so I made a card. Quick, simple and my table is cleaned up!

Yesterday, I discovered a different section of Austria- the South of Burgenland. We had a fun day there - the educational program of the forest management is fun, educational and interesting for kids as well as adults.

I finally got a half way decent family photo!

On our way home back to Vienna, we passed by this Castle. What a view!
