We are just finished celebrating Fasching, here in Austria. A bit like Halloween, minus the spooky stuff and trick or treat. But in addition, we have got the most delicious thing to eat:
Krapfen!!!!

I enjoyed so much playing with the Prima felt and trying out my new copic markers (on the pearls)

Gloves, Helmet, Go! Creative Scrappers 146

My DD is a real outside girl. She loves being on the playground, riding her bike or the scooter. Today alone we did over 6km! Since she is very wild, DH and I insist on proper protection. My lovely sister gave her Lillifee gloves and we found a matching helmet. This way, she is still cool and safe!

I based this LO on the creative scrappers sketch 146. A perfect sketch to work with.

Kreativmesse Ost - Local creative fair

Yesterday, I went to the local creative fair (Kreativmesse Ost). This is the stand of my local scrapbooking store. There were so many people!

My sister, my niece, my DD and I attended a workshop with copic marker.

And here are MY layouts at the fair! I have to admit, I was very excited to see my layouts exhibited.

We don't remember days / Sketchy Thursday

I am a very lucky girl! My local scrapbooking store FANTASIA really likes my layouts. So they have given me some papers to play with and create a layout for the local creative arts fair which starts today! Aren't those Creative imagiations papers just adorable?



I based this layout on the sketch by Sketchy Thursday. I liked the simplicity of the sketch. It is just the perfect starting point for a layout.

Here are some close ups. Boy, I love these flowers! They say SPRING in capital letters.


The photo was taken on the day when Sarah was just a week old. My husband called her "muffinhead" because of the cute hat I put her on.

Hybrid tutorial Nr 4 Snips and Snails Over The Rainbow

This layout is all about my cute godchild Victor. He was born last July and is such a cutie. In this one, he is fighting so hard not to fall asleep. You can see how small his eyes already are!!!

Now for the tutorial:

Tired of fussy cutting? Here is a solution: Print the image out on overhead foil. CAVEAT: before you do it, check if you got the right kind! Laser printers need a different overhead than inkjet. Trust me, it is not pretty when you got the wrong kind. The best way to get these is to head over to your favorite stationary shop. The one I use has a rough front side and a very smooth back side. When using an inkjet, you will have to print on the rough side.

Since it is very pricy you might want to load all your images you want to print onto 1 A4 side (see tutorial 1 for how to do it) and then print it in one go. Remember to deep clean your printer before doing so for better results) Then just cut around the printed image as close as possible and glue it on your project.

I like using Tombow vellum glue roller and only put a small amount underneath a flower so the glue remains invisible. If you add it onto patterned paper, it will be even less visible. (In this photo, have messed around with the color saturation to better illustrate what I did. In the real thing, it is barely noticeable.)

Alexia - Artful Delight Sketch Challenge

Over at ARTFUL DELIGHT is a great sketch challenge going on. The price is a whole kit! You got to go check it out. The sketch is also really sweet. Here is my take on it.

Alexia is a very sweet friend of mine who has just published a great children's book. We were invited for the presentation and DD and I loved her book. DD got her book signed and we took a photo of the two.

I used the latest swirlydoos kit. Great stuff and wonderful embellishments. The colors are divine. I went a bit nuts with the gold stickles. The thickers are so much fun to work with!

Summer Card Imaginisce March Madness

I needed a mojo boost so I decided to participate in the Card March Madness. I am usually not really a card person, but this one really inspired me!

The rules:

Use Melinda's sketch,
and incorporate the following game plan into your completed card using at least 75% Imaginisce products:
1. Three Patterned Papers
2. Three Colors
3. Three Embellishments

So I made this one! Since I just booked our vacation in August, I decided to use the ocean splash series.
