Invitation

We have finally found a date where most of my family members are around and can attend the christening of our little son. So I got to work and made the prototype of the invitations. I kept it fairly simple and in the same style and color as the birth announcements. The photo was taken by my very talented 16 year old nephew (proud Aunt here!)

Austrian Parliament

Living in Vienna is great if you have kids. All museums are free for kids and there are always really great guided tours especially for kids. Since DD loves them, we go there quite frequently and I enjoy the tours as well. This time we went to the Austrian parliament and she got to try out how it feels to work there. Like a real politician, she did not pay attention but read her book.....

This layout is based on sketchabilities Nr 66 and I used the February kit from Swirlydoos for the layout. I will leave you with a cute photo of DS who thinks that his big sister is hilarious!

Beloved

Creative scrappers Nr 198 was the basis for this layout. Together with the stunning February kit from Swirlydoos and an extended nap of my little DS, I was able to create this layout. I usually absolutely dislike orange but somehow this one worked out quite well.

This is my interpretation of the sketch.

Here is a close-up of the cluster.

DH is a wonderful father and loves to play with him. DS appreciates it a lot and gives him the most wonderful smiles.

DD is still a wonderful big sister and LOVES to hold and cuddle him.

Bliss

I love the February kit from Swirlydoos. So many pretty things!

I used a sketch from Quick Quotes to create this layout. The journaling reads: My two sweeties could not be more different and yet they are a perfect match, February 2012

Here are two close ups. I really like how the cluster turned out.

Cheeese!

Yesterday was a great day. Thanks to DH and my beloved milkpump, I was able to attend a 3 hour scrapbooking workshop, which happened to take place in our street. I loved playing around with the glimmer mists. Something I am not really good yet. I learned how to use different colors, mute colors, add glimmer glam (sooo cool), add patterns to the simple white flowers. I also got introduced to gesso, love this stuff.

The photo shows DH and myself at my sister's wedding. Finally a decent photo of us!

Here are some close ups of the flowers. I am pretty happy with it and looking forward to using this technique more often.

DD and DS are doing great as well. DD attended a guided tour of the parliament and got to try out how it feels to be a congresswoman.

Friday Afternoon Swirlydoos

After waiting FOREVER (at least it felt that way) my February kit from Swirlydoos arrived. The Austrian postal system is really torturing me! So the second I got some free time, I dug into it. Friday Afternoon is the title, since DH loves to cuddle with DS and DD on the couch on Friday afternoon. It is sort of based on the monthly sketch of Beggahuna, but I changed a bit.

My big DD is growing up so fast. Since she goes to an English speaking school, I have to homeschool her a bit to make sure her German does not fall behind. Every day, after having done the English homework, she works on reading and writing in German.

And my sweet little one, he is just adorable. During the day, he has not yet found a rhythm but he is super good during the night, waking me up just twice or three times, drinks and falls right back asleep.
That's it from me for today.

Card and ready for the weekend

It is Friday! Not that it matters for me - I am on "vacation". Being a SAHM is very relaxing at the moment. I am very lucky since both of my kids are very sweet and good!

I am still in the process of reorganizing my scrap place - 15 minutes at a time. Amongst others, I have rediscovered these cute little blue flowers. Which inspired me to create this card.

My little man turned two months! My heart melts every time I look at him.

And my big girl, all dressed up and ready to go the concert. We watched The Wizard of Oz. She loved it so much and now she does not want to become a vet anymore but a musical star.

Thanks for stopping by!
All the best,
Elisabeth
