My wonderful colleague at work is retiring after 23 years of teaching in the primary school. She has been an inspiration to me and was a wonderful teacher to my DD. So I made this LO for her. For the journaling, I have adapted the text of the song from "rent" : Your 23 seasons of love have touched about five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred children.... Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment! All the best, Elisabeth
One of the many reasons why I LOVE scrapbooking is: I can do what I when, in which style I want in the colors I want! I can change my style from vintage to cute, from classic to clean...When I won the Jubilee papers from Best Creations, they were just perfect for my little girl. The title reads: If a fairy has to go to the dentist, is she then the toothfairy? This title needs a bit of explaining: Here in Austria, we celebrate Fasching (mardi gras), however her dental cleaning appointment was scheduled for the same day. So we went there in full costume. The girls at my dentist's office were delighted and the dentist herself gave her a huge Faschingskrapfen (a bit like a doughnut filled with jam) !!!I based the LO on this sketch:Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment! All the best, Elisabeth
I love taking walks, best with many other people.
Ever since my father was a small child, he wanted to have a scooter. So he borrowed my daughter's scooter and started to ride it. We all had lots of fun! I used the March kit from Swirlydoos and based it on the sketch from creative scrappers. Thanks for stopping by!All the best, Elisabeth
I am very blessed to have lots of siblings. 3 sisters and 1 brother and we actually talk to each other! One of my lovely sister celebrated her 40th birthday this week. My gift for her is to help choose and pay for the dress, which she is going to wear at my sister's wedding in the summer. So I made this Birthday card for her.
If you like the template, you can find it HERE. Everything else is pretty straight forward. I used white pearls and colored them with my new copic markers to match the color to the ribbon. Since I always have TONS of ribbon, I just layered them, going from the bottom up. To secure it, I stitched it to the white paper before adhering it to the blue cardstock. I just love this site. Every week there are new inspiration. The sketch is perfect! Check it out HEREWe are just finished celebrating Fasching, here in Austria. A bit like Halloween, minus the spooky stuff and trick or treat. But in addition, we have got the most delicious thing to eat: Krapfen!!!!I enjoyed so much playing with the Prima felt and trying out my new copic markers (on the pearls)Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me a comment! All the best, Elisabeth
My DD is a real outside girl. She loves being on the playground, riding her bike or the scooter. Today alone we did over 6km! Since she is very wild, DH and I insist on proper protection. My lovely sister gave her Lillifee gloves and we found a matching helmet. This way, she is still cool and safe! I based this LO on the creative scrappers sketch 146. A perfect sketch to work with. Thanks for looking and have a good week. All the best, Elisabeth
This layout is all about my cute godchild Victor. He was born last July and is such a cutie. In this one, he is fighting so hard not to fall asleep. You can see how small his eyes already are!!!Now for the tutorial:Tired of fussy cutting? Here is a solution: Print the image out on overhead foil. CAVEAT: before you do it, check if you got the right kind! Laser printers need a different overhead than inkjet. Trust me, it is not pretty when you got the wrong kind. The best way to get these is to head over to your favorite stationary shop. The one I use has a rough front side and a very smooth back side. When using an inkjet, you will have to print on the rough side.
Since it is very pricy you might want to load all your images you want to print onto 1 A4 side (see tutorial 1 for how to do it) and then print it in one go. Remember to deep clean your printer before doing so for better results) Then just cut around the printed image as close as possible and glue it on your project.
I like using Tombow vellum glue roller and only put a small amount underneath a flower so the glue remains invisible. If you add it onto patterned paper, it will be even less visible. (In this photo, have messed around with the color saturation to better illustrate what I did. In the real thing, it is barely noticeable.)All these wonderful elements are hot off the "digital press". The kit is called Snips and Snails, Over The Rainbow and it can be bought right here: If you have any questions about my tutorials, just leave me a comment and I will get back to you! If you do not have a question, leave me a comment anyway because I love reading them! All the best, Elisabeth
Over at ARTFUL DELIGHT is a great sketch challenge going on. The price is a whole kit! You got to go check it out. The sketch is also really sweet. Here is my take on it. Alexia is a very sweet friend of mine who has just published a great children's book. We were invited for the presentation and DD and I loved her book. DD got her book signed and we took a photo of the two. I used the latest swirlydoos kit. Great stuff and wonderful embellishments. The colors are divine. I went a bit nuts with the gold stickles. The thickers are so much fun to work with! Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment! All the best, Elisabeth
I needed a mojo boost so I decided to participate in the Card March Madness. I am usually not really a card person, but this one really inspired me!
The rules:
Use Melinda's sketch, and incorporate the following game plan into your completed card using at least 75% Imaginisce products:1. Three Patterned Papers2. Three Colors 3. Three EmbellishmentsSo I made this one! Since I just booked our vacation in August, I decided to use the ocean splash series. Thanks so much for stopping by!All the best, Elisabeth
