Friday

Time flies! Already the weekend again. We had a great week. The long weekend with playdates and a pick-nick, then normal school and a trip to the butterfly house. Today, we are going swimming and on Sunday, my mother will be in town!

I finally scrapped Sarah's school photo. The Botanique papers from Donna Salazar were perfect for it.

The layout is based on sketchabilities Nr 72. It was a great honor for me to be chosen Top 5 on my last one.

I enjoyed using some of the very special embellishments from some previous Swirlydoos kits - such as the glittery necklace and the baubles from Tim Holtz. I usually hoard these but not this time!

The DIY thickers are great! I used some micro beads on them for a special effect. PJG is the name of Sarah's class. The only thing that does NOT work with the DIY thickers is heat embossing. Trust me on this one... not funny.

I used a wonderful butterfly from Lisa Gregory. She always does such an amazing job matching the butterflies to the current Swirlydoos kit. Thanks, Lisa! I think this would qualify for Angelica's butterfly challenge over at the Swirlydoos forum.

I also use this for the Fabulous Friday challenge: PUNCHES over at Frosted Designs.

Here is a photo from the pick-nick. Michi discovered the joy of pebbles and DD loved being in the pool. Some wild geese were there as well.

Thanks for stopping by!
All the best!
Elisabeth

  1. This is so so pretty!!! I love the colors and all the flowers and the butterfly! Cute photo of the little guy. Those are Canadian Geese. We have them running around our development. The one family had babies this spring and has done a great job of keeping them hidden, as they are huge now. Usually, I see them all the time throughout the day. Not so this year.

  5. So I had to look up about the geese. According to Wikipedia, they can be found in Northern Europe, and are being introduced to other temperate regions. I thought it was funny they were there. We sometimes throw them the ends of the bread loaf, tear it up and throw it in the water. I have four ponds in this neighborhood.

  6. Wow!! I didn't know the geese went this far away from Canada! Our babies just left our neighbourhood pond. :( We are all missing them. A stunning LO! So delicate and feminine! :)
