Over at Frosted Designs there is a challenge to use journaling cards. Since I just got my Littla Yellow Bicycle Making The Grade papers, I thought I would scrap last year's school photos.
Scrapping school photos is really hard since there are always so many different colors. I chose a white background to give it a neutral base, then saw that there is a lot of blue in the kid's clothes so I chose the blue as my second color. The other colors are reflected in the accents I used.
I liked playing with the embellishment kit. I made the rosette and used the green alphabet circle underneath.
I fussy cut the chevron pattern and added some real paper clips for extra texture.
To make sure that the bow tie stays in place, I added some score tape underneath.
PJG was the name of DD's class. I used some liquid pearls to decorate the cute banner and added the other elements.
I cannot finish the post without adding a photo of my little sweetie. He is growing up way too fast for my taste!
Thanks for stopping by!
All the best,
Elisabeth
